How to Install Bluetooth on a G60
« on: June 07, 2012, 02:29:08 AM »
Some models of the HP G60 laptop computer do not come with Bluetooth hardware built in. In order to install Bluetooth on these computers, you will need to add a USB Bluetooth adapter. Fortunately, they are inexpensive and readily available. Some adapters come with their own software, others use the Bluetooth software included in Microsoft Windows. Bluetooth USB adapters are often referred to as Bluetooth dongles.

Instructions

        1

Install the software that came with your Bluetooth adapter. Follow the manufacturer's instructions. If your Bluetooth adapter did not come with software, proceed to the next step.
        2

Insert the Bluetooth adapter into an open USB port on your computer. Windows will automatically search for and install the drivers.
        3

Click "Start." Click the search window.
        4

Type "Bluetooth" in the search bar. You can add a Bluetooth device, change your Bluetooth settings, or set up Bluetooth file transfer.
