Having to take live photos and videos to keep up your Snapchat streaks can be quite daunting to an extent; there are days you wish you could just upload a picture or video from your phone gallery. Well, most Snapchat users don't know it's possible to share their gallery photos and videos as live snaps. Yes, you don't need Snapchat Premium to do this, and it's quite simple once you learn it. This article explains how to send gallery photos and videos as live snaps on Snapchat - to keep up your streaks with your BFFs.

What are SnapChat Streaks?

On a literal ground, Snapchat streaks are really "useless," but then it gives you this motivation to continue engaging with a particular friend, or a group of friends daily. More so, these streaks can be used to point out when a friend is going through a hard time (if they have failed to reply to your streaks for a while), prompting you to reach out to them through other means. Snapchat streaks are represented by a number, followed by a "fire flame" icon. The number represents the number of days you have kept a streak with a friend.

How To Send Gallery Photos and Videos as Live Snaps on Snapchat

Snapchat streaks, or rather "Snaps" are intended to be live photos and videos of your day/moments, but what about days you don't go out? Or just want to share a particular old video from your phone as a "snap?" Well, here's how to go about that.

Step One:
You need to record a live snap; this live snap doesn't need to "make any sense" because you will delete it afterward.

Step Two:

After recording the first live snap, tap on the "plus sign" and further tap the "Import Media" icon on the icons tray at the right edge of your snap screen, then import the image/video you want to send as a snap. You can add multiple files at a go.

Step Three:

You can edit the imported files individually, and also, you can delete the initial "live snap" you recorded (if not needed). After the individual edits, tap the "Preview" button to view how the snap would be sent, then proceed to send it to your friend(s).

What More?

You can now send your gallery media as snaps instead of stressing about sending actual live snaps to keep up your streaks. If you found this article useful, kindly comment and share it with your friends! Many thanks.
