I'm really liking this story so far. Simone is pretty likeable for a massively overpowered character. Her family is genuinely insane though.

Just want to mention that the last three links (Chapters 21 to 50) have sections that are gibberish or serious misspellings. I don't know how that might be corrected but I thought you'd like to know.

I'm up to Chapter 141 - Even with the spots that are garbled (so part of the story is unreadable) I'm still really enjoying it. Simone is a great character with a level of cheerful pettiness that amuses me enormously. I love that there are so many fun, smart, and strong female characters in this story - even though there are also conniving, malicious, and nasty female characters as well. I also really appreciate it that there is currently no indication that the ladies who have been treated so rudely by their former love-interests are going to take them back into their lives. "Belated love is more worthless than grass." is a GREAT saying and I'll be remembering it.

I'm also finding the world with geomancy and other mysticism to be an interesting twist. The mystery that is unfolding is also quite engrossing. I'm overdue for bed but I don't want to stop reading. Thank you for the regular updates!

I finished chapter 150 last night and was sad because this story is quite engrossing and then this morning there were so many more chapters!!!

(On the plus side, I got to sleep at a reasonable hour last night so I'm not complaining.)

I have now finished the story (staying up way too late to do so). Before I start my review I want to thank Simon for the speedy updates!

Now, to the story...

I liked it a lot. The protagonist (Simone) was strong, courageous, ridiculously overpowered, resolute, and very likeable. She has a good girlfriend who joins her and makes other friends along the way. There is a very, very low-key and slow growing romance that is finalized in the ending chapters. There is a mystery that really caught my interest and kept me reading longer than I wanted to. Much face-slapping of people who needed to be slapped was also a part of the story.

However, while the story was a very good read for me - there are aspects that may frustrate some readers. There are translation errors (mostly gendered pronouns but also places where names suddenly change and that sort of MTL fun), there are repeated chapters, and there are sections where it's nothing but gibberish. I was able to enjoy the story anyway because it's pretty easy for me to fill in the gaps myself. I didn't find those challenges to the story to be a deal-breaker. Your mileage may vary.
