The Bluetooth stack is a phrase that describes the software bundle used by Bluetooth devices. Bluetooth devices are devices that transmit data wirelessly. Printers, computers and headsets can all contain Bluetooth functions. If your Bluetooth headset or device is acting strangely or will not connect to another device, it may be due to an outdated Bluetooth stack. Fortunately, you can change the stack to different versions of the software and transfer it to the Bluetooth device. Afterward, you should have no problem connecting devices.

Things You'll Need

    Internet connection
    PC
    Bluetooth device
Instructions

        1

Go to "Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs."
        2

Scroll down until you find the name of the Bluetooth device you want to update. Click on it and hit "Change/Remove Program" at the top of the screen. It will tell you the technical name of the product, which is "UGX."
        3

Go to "Control Panel > System > System Properties > Device Manager."
        4

Find the "UGX" on the list of devices and select "Update Device Driver."
        5

        Choose "Show all hardware available."
        6

Select "Bluetooth > Bluetooth Adapter." It will automatically install the latest drivers.
        7
