To join or merge multiple PST (Personal Storage Table) files in Microsoft Outlook, you can follow these steps:
Step 1: Create a backup of your original PST files
Before merging PST files, it's always a good practice to create a backup of your original PST files to ensure that your data is safe in case anything goes wrong during the merging process.
Step 2: Open Microsoft Outlook
Launch Microsoft Outlook on your computer.
Step 3: Navigate to the "File" tab
Click on the "File" tab located in the top left corner of the Outlook window.
Step 4: Open "Options"
In the File tab, select "Options" from the left-hand side menu.
Step 5: Go to "Advanced" tab
In the Outlook Options window, click on the "Advanced" tab.
Step 6: Click on "Export"
Under the "Export" section, click on the "Export" button.
Step 7: Choose "Import from another program or file"
In the Import and Export Wizard window, select "Import from another program or file" and click on the "Next" button.
Step 8: Choose "Outlook Data File (.pst)"
Choose "Outlook Data File (.pst)" as the file type to import and click on the "Next" button.
Step 9: Select PST files to merge
Click on the "Browse" button and navigate to the location where the PST files you want to merge are saved. Select the PST files you want to merge and click on the "OK" button.
Step 10: Choose a location for merged PST file
Choose a location on your computer where you want to save the merged PST file and provide a name for the merged PST file. Click on the "Finish" button.
Step 11: Set options for duplicate items
If you want to set options for duplicate items, you can choose the appropriate option in the Import Outlook Data File window. Otherwise, you can simply click on the "Finish" button.
Step 12: Enter password if applicable
If any of the PST files you are merging are password-protected, you will be prompted to enter the password for each respective PST file.
Step 13: Complete the merging process
Outlook will now merge the selected PST files into a single PST file. The time it takes to complete the merging process will depend on the size of the PST files and the performance of your computer.
