New Techie
Before in the good and easy old days (back in 2012 lol) you could have a slow site and still be ranked at the top of the google search results. Nowadays mobile and desktop loading speed is as important as your content.

So how do you speed up your site?

First check the speed here: https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/

It will give you some details on what you can do. After that you can install plugins like smush images, and wp optimize.

To rank better you need a fast site, but don't forget the quality content as well.

Optimizing Speed is a very important part of websites. It helps in ranking and a good user experience. A fast site speed will result in a better user experience

Page speed measures the amount of time it takes for content on a particular webpage to load. It is important because it helps to determine how quickly a browser is able to load fully functional web pages from a given site. Poorly performing sites that render slowly in a browser can drive users away. Conversely, sites that load quickly will typically receive more traffic and have better conversion rates.

Absolutely, site speed is crucial these days! If you’ve checked your site with the PageSpeed Insights tool and installed plugins like Smush and WP Optimize, you’re on the right track. But there's more you can do. Consider enabling browser caching to help return visitors load your site faster. Also, compress your files to reduce load times—tools like Gzip can be very effective for that. And don’t overlook the importance of a good hosting provider, as a solid server can drastically improve your site’s performance. It's like a recipe where each element counts towards the final dish, so keep experimenting with different approaches until you find what works best for you and your audience.
